Pastoral Care

SERVICE
The Pastoral Care Services of the MCU-Filemon D. Tanchoco Medical Foundation, Inc. aims to further enrich and extend pastoral services to people in need especially the families of the patients undergoing special treatment at the Critical Care Unites of the Hospital. The initiative is being done through and the collaboration of the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word and the volunteer Medical and Administrative Staff of the hospital.
For the past eleven (11) years of the IVE Fathers of the Incarnate Word and the SSVM Sisters have been extending Pastoral Care to the patients who are confined at the ICU’s for their spiritual needs such as counseling and administering the Sacraments of the Confession, Holy Communion, Anointing of the sick and Blessing of the sick and dead.
In addition, programs and services conducted as a collaborative effort of both parties IVE Fathers, SSVM Sisters and as well as the MCU Volunteers, in giving attention to the members of the families of the ICU patients who are at the waiting area. Different activities according to their situations and needs that would support them morally and spiritually would be facilitated, with the sincerest intention of giving them comfort during their most difficult moments.
