Family and Community Medicine Offers
The MCU-FDTMF Hospital’s Department of Family and Community Medicine offers comprehensive health services tailored to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities. Our services include industrial health clinic services, providing pre-employment and annual check-ups, diagnosis and treatment of occupational injuries, executive health packages, and immunization programs. We emphasize health risk management through stress management and counseling.
Our community services extend to daily consultations at satellite clinics, health education, family planning, and various community support programs such as feeding, literacy, and livelihood programs, aimed at enhancing community well-being.
Additionally, we specialize in family counseling and psychodynamics, offering support for mental and emotional health. For patients with chronic or terminal conditions, we provide personalized care through home visits, ensuring they receive the necessary medical support in the comfort of their homes.

TRAINING PROGRAM
The MCU-FDTMF Hospital’s Department of Family and Community Medicine provides a traditional three-year residency program, designed to prepare physicians in comprehensive family healthcare. The program integrates community immersion experiences and in-patient management of primary healthcare cases, emphasizing the delivery of family health care programs. Residents develop essential administrative and managerial skills, evolving into research-oriented physicians with a focus on public health initiatives. The training ensures residents are proficient in emergency room practices and equipped to respond effectively to national health events, including disaster management and pandemics. This residency program aims to cultivate skilled practitioners capable of contributing significantly to community health and medical practice.
